be the teacher you were meant to be and have the classroom of your dreams!
You’re feeling lost, overwhelmed, and not sure you have everything you need to be the teacher you want to be.
*What classroom management system should I use?
* What if I have a REALLY hard kid?
* How do I talk to parents?
* How do I set up a good schedule?
* What about THAT ONE TEACHER that is difficult to deal with?
They didn't teach me this in school!
Are you feeling lost, overwhelmed, and not sure you have everything you need to be the teacher you want to be? Do you have questions and don't know where to go for answers?

Questions like:
*What classroom management        system should I use?
* What if I have a REALLY hard kid?
* How do I talk to parents?
* How do I set up a good schedule?
* What about THAT ONE TEACHER who is difficult to deal with?

They didn't teach me this in school!
And while you don’t know what the answers to your problems are just yet… You certainly know what the answers ARE NOT.
IT's not working harder and getting less done
Working harder at the “wrong” things only leads to frustration and BURNOUT and ultimately gets you further away from your goal!
It's not trying to do it all alone
You may have tried this, thinking you need to have all the answers, but teaching is a “group sport.” Doing it alone only leaves you feeling lonely and still not reaching your goal!
it's not giving up and doing nothing
This obviously is not the answer. You worked hard to get where you are and giving up is NOT an option! You were meant to teach.

I've been in your shoes...
When I first started teaching, I hadn't even finished my credential program, had never taught, and got placed in a special education classroom for students with severe behaviors. This was what I always wanted to do and I had taken tons of classes, but ultimately I found out really quickly that I just didn't know what to do. When I tried to reach out for help what I got was either "figure it out yourself" or "here is tons and tons of information to wade through." Neither of those worked and I was left feeling, overwhelmed, burnt-out and questioning whether I could really do this.
I'm sure that if I had time to read all the books, search out a mentor, and go to trainings, I would have eventually gained the knowledge I needed.  But like you, I DID NOT have the time or bandwidth to do that. I was barely getting by as it was.
My AHA moment came later than I would have liked. It really didn't come until I started coaching new teachers and saw how I was overwhelming them with information. Even good information can be too much! My years of experience gave me a wealth of knowledge, but none of that knowledge was helpful to new teachers if they weren't able to take in and use the avalanche of information.

That was the moment I focused my coaching approach on teaching small, achievable actions for BIG change. I started seeing success immediately. Teachers were taking the knowledge and running with it! Here's what I learned: More is not always better. Too much information at once is overwhelming and feels like failure.

Use this area to tell your story.
When I first started teaching, I hadn't even finished my credential program, had never taught, and got placed in a special education classroom for students with severe behaviors. Neither of those worked and I was left feeling, overwhelmed, burnt-out and questioning whether I could really do this.
I'm sure that if I had time to read all the books, search out a mentor, or go to training and conferences, I may have eventually gained the information I needed but the reality was; I DID NOT have the time or bandwidth to do that. I was barely getting by as it was.
My a-ha moment came later than I would have liked. My a-ha moment didn't really come until I started coaching new teachers and saw how overwhelming the information I was giving them was. How even though my years of teaching and training teachers gave me a wealth of knowledge, none of that knowledge was helpful to new teachers, if they weren't available or able to take the information.

That was the moment I shifted my coaching approach and that was when the teachers I coached starting taking the knowledge and running with it. More is not always better. What I realized (after some misses:)) is that when you give teachers too much information at one time, not only are they not able to use it, it also leaves them feeling like they are failing over and over.

YOU CHOOSE A DATE FOR YOUR DAY OF VOXER
You don’t need to free up your calendar for this. A Day of Voxer is very parenting, virtual teaching, meal time friendly.

You just need to make sure you have enough time between your daily activities to listen and reply to messages - as well as the mental space to think, process and maybe take a few notes!
WE GET YOU SET UP ON VOXER

If you don’t have a Voxer account, you’ll create one - it’s free.

We’ll add each other on Voxer, and you can send me a message in advance to tell me more about what’s troubling you. This way, we can dive right in when your day starts.

WHEN YOUR DAY OF VOXER COMES, YOU’LL HAVE ACCESS TO ME FROM 9:00AM TO 8:00PM PST
Don’t worry - this isn’t an 11 hour chat, and you’re not expected or supposed to be sitting by your phone waiting for replies.

We’ll be exchanging messages throughout the day at a steady yet relaxed pace.

The best thing about a Day of Voxer is that we have space in between messages to think about ideas and how you can use that information, make plans, or take action.

That’s part of what makes a Day of Voxer so effective.

Working with Brandie made all the difference in my confidence as a new teacher. She has so much knowledge and she knows how to share her knowledge without overwhelming. Her calm and practical advice and support helped to make me the teacher I am today!
- Jodi M, New Teacher
I wasn't sure what to think of the Day of Voxer offer but I am so glad I gave it a try. Having unlimited access to Brandie for the day basically made all of the difference in getting my entire classroom management system adjusted to meet the needs of my incoming class. She said, "just because you can't do everything, doesn't mean you shouldn't do something. That changed the way I was thinking about my classroom. I can't wait for my next Voxer Day!!
-Sherry D, 2nd year teacher
I was feeling so overwhelmed by "all the things" that were coming my way as a brand new teacher and I just didn't have the time to take more courses or read more books. The Day of Voxer was a perfect fit because we could focus on one thing at a time and make it personal to what I needed.  I needed to focus on one thing, work my way through the issue, and then move on to the next. Brandie was amazing and the unlimited access to her was just what I needed.
 - Amanda C, New teacher
I’ll be available between 9:00am and 8:00pm PST. This means, most time zones get at least a handful of hours of conversation during a Day of Voxer.
Don’t worry. Message me using the chat box on the bottom right corner of this page, and we’ll figure something out.
You’ll have access to me between 9:00am and 8:00 PST

Don’t worry. This doesn’t mean we’ll be communicating nonstop for 11 hours. That’s just the window during which we’ll be exchanging messages.
During a Day of Voxer, we’ll be exchanging messages at a slow yet steady pace throughout the day.

You’ll want to make sure you have enough time to listen and reply to messages, and to think, take action, or make some plans but this is for YOU so however much time you want to put into it is fine!
What makes this different is this is all about YOU! You get access to an expert for a full day to answer questions and make plans that are specific to your needs!
That is such a good question. I have spent my fair share of time sitting in PD that had nothing to do with what I was really struggling with. That is one of the reasons I started A Day of Voxer, to give teachers the exact opposite of that experience. This day is all about you so you get to focus on whatever you want or need!
Because I have 30 years of experience in education and have been coaching new teachers for over 15 years, I have "seen it all" and "done it all". If I don't feel like I can support you based on the issue(s) you share, I promise you I won't waste your time! (FYI- that has never happened! ):)
Just send me an email message and I’ll get back to you.
