When I first started teaching, I hadn't even finished my credential program, had never taught, and got placed in a special education classroom for students with severe behaviors. This was what I always wanted to do and I had taken tons of classes, but ultimately I found out really quickly that I just didn't know what to do. When I tried to reach out for help what I got was either "figure it out yourself" or "here is tons and tons of information to wade through."
